MADNESS - THIS TIME FOR REAL
Philip K. Dick is, of course, best-known for his Science Fiction stories and novels. Since his death 25 years ago many of his fans came to his work via movies based on his writings -- with the movie BLADERUNNER based on his novel DO ANDROIDS DREAM OF ELECTRIC SHEEP? leading the box office and critical acclaim.
 
Few know that before he concentrated on SciFi he spent a number of years fruitlessly trying to sell mainstream Fiction. This novel,  just-released for the first time was his first attempt and, in many ways, it well accomplishes a sort of posthumous “I told you so” for PKD (Philip K. Dick often being referred to by his initials).
 
The novel has, first, a PKD -feeling but with a twist from his best-known works. In his SciFi worlds, main characters are often challenged by
